Brilla's Story:  One early Saturday morning, approximately 10 years ago, I was driving to work downtown, when I spotted a small black & white speck in the left lane of I-45.   As I got closer, it became apparent that the little speck was a tiny kitten, in the fast lane of one of Houston's busiest highways.   I was lucky enough to be able to grab the little ball of fur before a car hit it, but it was apparent that this kitten had been dropped from a vehicle and was injured.   I immediately drove to the Westheimer Animal Clinic (where else?!) where I arrived to find some of the clinic staff in the front parking lot (it was early, before the clinic had even opened.)   The staff greeted me and assured me that this poor little kitten would be taken care of.   We quickly got inside to the vet's office, where I was again assured that the best of care would be given to my new friend.   I returned to the clinic around noon to learn that none of the injuries were severe and I was able to take the loveable ball of fur home.   We named her "Brillabrillabrilla" and she has been Queen of the Household ever since. I always know that every animal I rescue will be given the best care possible.  She is owned by Butch and Jennifer Juelg of Willis, TX
